Driving the Bus: A Compassionate Guide to Putting the Right People in the Right Places

Catholic schools have served to pass on the Catholic faith to students for generations. They have also offered challenging academic programs with proven success seen through college attendance, high standardized test scores, and almost non-existent drop-out rates. It is time to move our schools from good to great.

The most valuable resources in Catholic schools are the teachers. If you want to move your school from good to great, you need to move your teachers from good to great. This exciting presentation focuses on the five main areas regarding personnel that Catholic school administrators must work with effectively for Catholic schools to be truly great: Hiring, Professional Development, Contract Termination and Non-Renewal, Restructuring, and Culture.

The techniques discussed in this presentation have resulted in Dr. Cascone’s school being recognized as a United States Department of Education Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. In addition, they have earned Dr. Cascone the National Catholic Education Association’s (NCEA) 2013 Distinguished Principal Award, as well as the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) 2013 Distinguished Principal Award.
