Have you registered for NCEA 2016?  Now is the last chance to register before rates increase!  We hope you will join us for the NCEA 2016 Convention & Expo that is taking place March 29-31 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA, in partnership with the Catholic Library Association (CLA).  Our host this year is the Diocese of San Diego.  Register before February 12 to receive the early bird rate.
The NCEA Convention & Expo is the largest private education association gathering in the nation.  Those participating represent all aspects of Catholic school and faith-based education from preschool, elementary, secondary, adult education, colleges and universities.  The Convention is a time to celebrate, to acquire new knowledge, and to renew your spirit.  The preliminary program is now available online.
Need help with Title II-A funding?  Approximately 71% of the sessions at NCEA 2016 are considered to be secular in nature.  This year there are a larger number of sessions related to governance, technology, STEM, marketing, leadership, special needs, and curriculum.  Use the justification letter to help justify your attendance at NCEA 2016.
Registration rates will increase on February 13, 2016 so please make sure to register before that time to maximize your savings, and don’t forget to apply for any Title II-A funds you may be entitled to use.*
Visit www.ncea.org/convention for the latest NCEA 2016 updates.  We look forward to seeing you in San Diego!
Title II-A funds for professional development under the No Child Left Behind Act may be available to attend the NCEA Convention & Expo.  These funds may be used to pay for the “secular, non-ideological” sessions that the participant attends.  Funds may be used for registration as well as travel, lodging, etc.  Requests must be made to the local school district office (LEA) that controls the government funding for these programs.  Consult the Non-Regulatory Guidance PDF for information pertaining to the use of funds for private schools and for reference if there is resistance from the LEA.
