How it works:
For ten weeks, NCEA will follow the progress of up to 10 Catholic school teachers who are making their own mark in the social realm of Catholic education. NCEA will provide a topic for each week and each participant will use social media to share, engage and inspire the online community.
The contest is open to those who are seasoned in social networking as well as those who are newcomers – no prior experience necessary – just the drive to be creative in the social media world! Entrants MUST participate using Twitter with the use of additional platforms optional, but preferred. Additional platforms include but are not limited to; Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Blogs, Periscope, Vine, Instagram, Snapchat and/or other.*
The selected Catholic school social media influencers will begin their online networking on September 24, 2018 and continue for ten weeks. NCEA will be active in their efforts to increase their following, spread their messages and spur their engagement via cross promotion of their social strategies. All entrants must follow @NCEATalk on Twitter and cross promote their social media presence using hashtag: #CathEdSocial
Judging Criteria:
A judging team made up of NCEA staff and Catholic school education professionals will be evaluating all the participants in the following areas: relevance to weekly theme, engagement with audience, presentation, use of images and video, and overall excellence. Halfway through the contest, all participants will be updated on the current rankings. A winner will be selected on or around December 19, 2018.
