For the past several decades, NCEA has produced separate biennial reports: Dollars and Sense (Secondary Schools) and Financing the Mission (Elementary Schools) that contain data about key aspects of school governance, finances, enrollment, tuition, and staffing from all Catholic schools in the United States. Since 2005, CARA (Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate at Georgetown University) has collected this information for NCEA in an online survey sent to all schools.
This year the survey has been streamlined and will collect information from both elementary and secondary schools in the same instrument so that we may produce a report that reflects real-time data for all Catholic schools in the nation. Schools will soon be receiving the survey.
Catholic school leaders, we ask that you encourage all of your schools to participate so we may obtain a robust data set with high quality information and resources to share with all of our schools and dioceses.
If you have any questions, please contact Sr. Dale McDonald at [email protected].
We understand many demands compete for your time and we thank you for whatever efforts you can undertake to enhance the success of this project so we may better serve you and the Catholic educational community.
