NCEA is committed to a future of excellence by working together with its membership to promote our Catholic faith and lighting the way for the future of Catholic school education. With this in mind, NCEA is pleased to announce a Call for Candidacy for the Lead. Learn. Proclaim. Advisory Councils that will serve as a representative voice of NCEA members and to help guide NCEA in our programs and services.
NCEA depends on experts in the field of Catholic school education who serve through a variety of capacities. With that in mind, prospective Advisory Council members may include – but are not limited to – teachers, principals, presidents, administrative staff, pastors, governing body members, diocesan leaders, home and school association members, friends/donors to Catholic school education, higher education members, partners, consultants and others committed to the future of Catholic school education.
The Advisory Councils will be selected via an open application process and representatives will serve two or three-year non-renewable terms. While we are seeking candidates with specialty in the following areas, we welcome applications from any candidate who believes they may be of service to Catholic school education:
- Spiritual leadership
- Leadership succession
- Operational vitality
- Catholic faith integration
- STREAM
- Exceptional learning
- Catholic Schools Week
- NCEA Member publications
- Catholic school marketing and branding
Information detailing each of the specialty areas, which will also serve as the basis for the council committees, can be found on our website.
If you believe you have time and talent to serve on an Advisory Council, or know of someone who would be a valuable addition, please take the time to submit an application. All candidacy applications must be received electronically by January 21, 2016. Those who are invited to join this year will be notified by February 15, 2016.
