Put Your Best Foot Forward: Creating an Effective Open House Experience for New Student Recruitment
St. Jude School is located on the west-side of Cincinnati, Ohio. Families in the area have excellent public and parochial school options available. As the principal, I can tell you that I have a fantastic teaching staff, tremendous students, a supportive pastor and parish staff, and my PTO is so exceptional that they were recognized by the NCEA last year. All of that doesn’t mean much if we can’t continue to bring in high quality students and families.
Through the years, we’ve received consistent positive feedback about our Open House experience. This session will help you do the following:
-Identify and focus your message to your intended audience.
-Gain ideas on spreading the word;
-Express your values, with and without words;
-Determine the best people to deliver the message;
-Identify the positive differences between your school and the other available options.
Although the session is geared towards school level engagement, many of the ideas can be brought down to the individual classroom level.
