Thanks to the overwhelming support of Catholic Schools across the country, Go4theGoal continues to assist kids battling cancer and their families in their hour of need. We have seen so many great ways schools acknowledge our National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day, from the popular “gold out”/dress down, to planting flowers in memory of those lost to childhood cancer. Balloon releases, coin wars, class, grade, or even school verses school “challenges” have all been successful ways schools have acknowledged the day and raised funds to help kids with cancer in their own community!
Participating in this event is a fun and easy way to unite your school to make a difference in the lives of children in your community that are battling cancer. 100% of the funds raised by your school will stay within the community they are raised.
We at Camden Catholic, look forward to National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day each year. The students go all out showing their support for Pediatric Cancer Awareness and are enthusiastic about spreading Go4theGoal’s message. They show this enthusiasm through events such as our annual blood drive, Richard’s River Run, and our yearly trip to New York City for the Today Show. Each year, we raise several thousand dollars for the cause and the students feel good knowing their efforts are helping local families battling pediatric cancers. – Noemi Merenyi, Teacher and Student Government Moderator at Camden Catholic High School.
