At Mount Michael Benedictine School in Elkhorn, Nebraska, it’s about more than just numbers – though we think our numbers are pretty impressive. We are a Catholic college preparatory school for outstanding young men. Mount Michael features both day and residential/boarding programs, plus a curriculum that stresses academic excellence across a wide spectrum of subjects. But the education our students receive goes well beyond academics: it’s a way of life grounded in a Benedictine tradition going back nearly 1,500 years – a tradition that teaches our students the faith-based values of community, hospitality, integrity, service, and moderation. Put it all together, and our results speak volumes: an average ACT score of 28.5 (the highest in the state); an average of some $100,000 in college scholarships per senior; a diverse student body hailing from states around America and 10 foreign countries; a school-average GPA of 3.41; alumni who go on to not only succeed in advanced careers, but also to make the world a better place. Recent graduates have been accepted to a host of prestigious universities, including Stanford, Notre Dame, Cal Poly, and NYU. Mount Michael has earned national recognition by making the list of U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon Schools. What’s more, our school shows its pride through the Knights athletics and extracurricular programs – which together boast 32 state championships. It’s the total package of outstanding academics, championship extracurricular offerings, and Benedictine values that sets Mount Michael apart, leading to both exceptional numbers and, more importantly, outstanding graduates.
