NCEA Prayer Service for a New School Year

Every Monday, NCEA staff starts the week off together in prayer. This week, we prayed in particular for the start of a new school year:

As we gather here today and Catholic schools in our diocese being classes for the 2015-201 academic year, we take time to pause, and become aware of the presence of God here with us this morning.

We thank God

  • For the energy we have gained during the summer months.
  • For each other: for the colleagues we know already and have worked with, and for new colleagues whom we have welcomed over the past few months.
  • For the teachers, principals, presidents, pastors, board members, superintendents and all those committed to the mission and ministry of Catholic school education we will meet during the coming academic school year.

We pray that we will always be mindful of each other; and thank for the gifts and talents of each other, which we commit in service of our members.
