What is an Edcamp?

An Edcamp for me is a spiritual renewal of teaching. When we all started teaching we had a vision, and then we get into real life – and sometimes it’s overwhelming and we lose some of the drive. An Edcamp can bring in all new ideas and experiences to try in your classroom and reinvigorate your spirit to continue on your career in teaching.

Edcamps are free, participant-driven professional development events created for teachers, by teachers. You control your learning and everyone in the room contributes to the conversation. The sessions are designed on-site and based on the interests of those in attendance, so you will never walk away from an Edcamp feeling like you wasted your time. If you have never tried an Edcamp or if you are an Edcamp pro, you are welcome to join us for the NCEA Virtual Edcamp. It is a great way to connect with other Catholic educators and build your professional learning network!
