Prior to Catholic Leadership Summit, 26 new and relatively new superintendents and assistant superintendents throughout the country participated in Academy 16.  In addition to the outstanding presentations, the attendees were afforded the opportunity to mingle and share professional experiences throughout the day and a half conference.  Attendees were given green “NCEA Academy Graduate” ribbons so they would be easily identified and welcomed as new superintendents during the Catholic Leadership Summit.

The Academy 16 participants were invited to continue discussions and interactions as a cohort group, Academy 16, by communicating via conference calls and e-communities throughout the year and potentially meeting again during Convention (April 18-20) in St. Louis, MO.

In an effort to support our new diocesan leaders, NCEA included a package of five NCEA publications for each attendee, invited experienced superintendents to serve as advisors to the participants in Academy 16, and will send special reminders concerning upcoming NCEA professional development and webinars to Academy 16 participants.

Thank you to the presenters who enthusiastically launched Academy 16.
