Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time – February 19, 2017
Gospel Reading: Matthew 5:38-48
“Give to the one who asks of you, and do not turn your back on one who wants to borrow.”
Those who mistakenly believe that teaching is an easy profession, let alone that many have this vocation, have probably never experienced the third quarter as an educator. In the midst of the difficulties that may come as you prepare your students for the remainder of the academic year, continue to give your all. Although it may seem easier said than done, strive to exude joy for your students, because they need all of the sources of optimism and hope that they can get. Your selfless gift of devotion to the ultimate wellbeing of your students’ souls is in imitation of Christ’s selflessness with which he invites us to be open to the gift of his salvation.
How can you spiritually provide for your students while encouraging them to do so for others?
